Live Auctions:
When entertainment
sparks generosity
Making every bid an experience
When I lead a live auction, I make sure to be in the crowd, not tucked away at a podium. By mixing quick wit, playful banter, and a lively energy, I encourage friendly bidding wars that keep everyone engaged and entertained. My goal is to make the auction feel like an exciting, shared experience, one that guests will remember long after the event. I believe that when people are genuinely having fun, they give more freely, so I put my heart into creating an atmosphere that’s as enjoyable as it is successful. From the first hello to the final lot, I work closely with you to craft an auction that’s personal, dynamic, and incredibly effective.

Inexpensive lot idea 1:
A day with the CEO raises more than Iceland Trip
At the Allison Homes fundraiser for Marie Curie, the energy in the room was electric as I auctioned off a “day with the CEO,” John Anderson complete with golf, lunch, and even a car wash.
When bidding reached £3,500, I saw an opportunity to double the impact. With a bit of humour and quick thinking, I offered to sell John twice and the crowd loved it. Two winning bidders later, we’d raised £6,500 from a single lot, outpacing even the headline trip to Iceland. It was a perfect example of how creativity, timing, and laughter can turn a great auction moment into something unforgettable and double the difference for a remarkable cause.
Inexpensive lots idea 2:
Kid paintings raise £4,000
At the Jigsaw Trust fundraiser, two student paintings proved that inexpensive lots can create extraordinary impact. As the bids climbed, I saw the opportunity for a creative twist instead of selling one, I offered both to the top two bidders for £2,000 each.
The room erupted with energy, and in that single moment, we raised £4,000 for Jigsaw Trust. It was a perfect example of how a charity auctioneer can turn modest items into major wins by reading the room, thinking on their feet, and transforming simple acts of generosity into unforgettable moments of impact.
When an unlikey lot hits the HIGH notes
When my client nearly pulled a pair of VIP Royal Opera House tickets, worried they wouldn’t suit an audience of alpha males in the construction trade, I had a different idea. I encouraged a playful bidding war and even convinced an opera singer in the room to perform live, turning hesitation into high spirits and big generosity. The result? A spectacular lot that raised just under £1,800 and proved that with the right energy, you can surprise everyone and smash all expectations.
Turning rivary into revenue
When my client handed me a signed Arsenal shirt to sell to a crowd of West Ham fans, I knew I had to think outside the box. A quick eBay check gave me my starting point — I made sure everyone knew they could resell it, and then pitched it as the perfect Christmas present. By tying it back to the charity’s cause and having a bit of fun with the crowd, I turned a risky lot into a winning one, raising £2,200. It’s these creative, on-the-spot ideas that help me make sure every lot smashes its target.
